Orient Express Sailing Yachts Provence

Provence

This voyage takes you from a city that is undeniably popular, Marseille, to a destination that is unmistakably royal, Monaco. Departing from Marseille, you'll head to Cassis, a little slice of paradise on earth, with its stunning calanques and majestic cliffs. It's almost impossible to resist the charm of this quaint fishing port, with its narrow streets and colorful fishermen's houses. Next, you'll set your sights on Saint-Tropez. In this legendary village on the French Riviera, elegance is effortless and found everywhere—from its winding streets and sandy beaches to the lively Place des Lices. The following day, you'll dock at the Monaco harbor, where your journey will come to an end in the shadow of the majestic Prince's Rock.

Provence
  • Departure from
    Marseille

Often called unruly and chaotic, Marseille proudly flaunts its vibrant spirit and defiant charm. As France’s oldest and second-largest city, it embodies the essence of the South—a lively melting pot infused with aioli, pastis, and navettes, swept by the mistral, and guarded by the iconic Bonne Mère.*

In its neighborhoods—from Le Panier to Mazargues, La Pointe Rouge to La Castellane—conversations flow with politics, rap music, and a deep love for football. To feel its true rhythm, breathe in the salty air of La Canebière and the Old Port, stroll down Le Prado, and admire the MuCEM’s seaside architecture. Gaze at Château d’If and imagine The Count of Monte Cristo… Wander the Calanques, marvel at Le Corbusier’s Radiant City, or explore Vauban’s grand fortifications.

Marseille is an ancient, ever-evolving mosaic of cultures, revealing its spirit to those who embrace its unique pace.

Cassis, a Delicious Slice of Provence

Nestled within the breathtaking Calanques National Park, Cassis is a tranquil paradise resting beneath the golden cliffs of Cap Canaille. As charming as its surroundings, Cassis invites you to embrace the art of idleness.

Along its picturesque harbor, colorful houses stand beside inviting terraces, where you’ll feel drawn to savor sea bass or scorpionfish paired with wine from one of the twelve local vineyards, no matter the hour. Wander through the narrow streets and calades*, pausing in quaint squares adorned with bubbling fountains.

At Bestouan Beach, crystal-clear waters invite you to swim or simply bask in their beauty. Meanwhile, at the Calanque of Port Miou, you’ll marvel at rocky peaks and umbrella pines framed by the turquoise sea. As Frédéric Mistral said, "He who has seen Paris but not Cassis has seen nothing."

    Iconic and Timeless Saint-Tropez

1955: a film, an actress, a small fishing village, and a phenomenal success. The film was And God Created Woman, the actress Brigitte Bardot, and the village, Saint-Tropez. BB became a myth, and Saint-Tropez, a legend. Royals, actors, writers, painters, sculptors… all flocked to its shores. "Saint-Trop'," as insiders call it, became the epicenter of laid-back chic.

People adore it for its beaches—of which there are many (Pampelonne, La Ponche, Les Canoubiers…)—and their restaurants; its old port, where yachts and fishing boats intermingle; its narrow streets and ochre-colored facades; the Place des Lices, alive with endless pétanque games; the Voiles regatta, showcasing the most magnificent sailboats; and its “institutions”: morning coffee at Sénéquier and sandals crafted here and nowhere else.

Time, seasons, and trends may come and go, but Saint-Tropez remains: a way of life.

    Monaco, Luxury, Calm, and Pleasure

Often called "The Rock," Monaco is anything but ordinary. It’s a place where a prince (Rainier) married a movie star (Grace Kelly) and a sovereign city-state perched high on cliffs that descend into the Mediterranean. Monaco is a global village where the elite gather for exclusive events like the Monaco Yacht Show, the Rose Ball, and the Formula 1 Grand Prix.

But Monaco has much more to offer. Its rich history is reflected in landmarks like the 1646 Chapel of Mercy, the Cathedral, the Belle Époque Casino by Charles Garnier, and the 16th-century Major Ramp with its ancient gates. Meanwhile, modern marvels like 100-meter towers and the Materra district rising from the sea, designed by Renzo Piano, point to its future.

In Monaco, time seems to stand still.
